The stone, and who shapes it.

A marble loudspeaker is not made by those who build loudspeakers: it is made by those who know stone. The acoustic project is ours; the material is Marmi Ghirardi’s.

A division of expertise

The acoustic project is ACUSTICA’s; the stone is followed by Marmi Ghirardi — from choosing the block to finishing the last edge. Not a supply deal, but the reason these objects exist. A marble loudspeaker cannot be made by those who build loudspeakers; it must be made by those who have always worked stone.

Industrial precision, an artisan’s hand

Each driver’s seat is opened and bevelled into the thickness of the slab with CNC precision, then finished by hand. The mass and rigidity of marble keep the cabinet still; geometry and joints do the rest. The stone is not a bonded cladding: the slabs are the loudspeaker.

One piece at a time

The slab is chosen from the block by its veining, one piece at a time: no two loudspeakers are alike. It is bespoke work, in the time and manner of those who handle a noble material — not a product off a shelf. And that is what a designer specifies: an authored, recognisable object.

The acoustic reason behind the stone — mass, rigidity, damping — is here: why marble sounds.
