Noir series

Vox Lucis.

Built in stone. Not clad in stone.

A two-way system in which structure, acoustics, light and stone belong to the same design.

The cabinet

The stone doesn't clad the loudspeaker. It is the loudspeaker.

There is no cabinet hidden beneath a precious finish.

The slabs are the cabinet.

The stone is directly the structure of Vox Lucis, and gives it mass, rigidity and inertia.

It wasn't chosen only for what it shows.

It was chosen for what it lets you not hear.

The structure stays still. The music can move.

The core

A second stone changes everything.

Between the outside and the inside runs a second stone.

At the corner it barely surfaces: a thin contrasting line that runs the whole height of the loudspeaker.

It isn't an insert added afterwards. It is part of the construction.

Change the core and you change the object.

The same outer stone, set against a different core, takes on an entirely new character.

The form stays. The material decides how to read it.

The drivers

Two ways. A single voice.

Two drivers divide the work without dividing the listening.

One gives the music its body. The other completes its highest part.

Between them, a passive crossover, built and wired by hand, distributes the signal.

The components are selected, measured and matched pair by pair.

Because a pair of loudspeakers should be born as a pair.

The exploded view

Nothing is applied afterwards.

The exploded view tells Vox Lucis better than any outer cladding.

Stone, inner structure, acoustic chamber, drivers and light belong to the same drawing.

They are not elements gathered inside a form. They are the form.

In a real room

Compact in space. Not in presence.

Vox Lucis stands 55 centimetres tall and just 21 wide.

It settles into a room easily, without asking it to organise itself around it.

The material, though, keeps it from becoming anonymous.

On a dedicated stand, beside a piece of furniture or built into the architecture of the room:

It takes little space. It defines far more.

The material

The design is one. Your stone is not.

The drawing stays identical.

The stone never.

Veining, shifts of tone, intrusions and mineral structure make every piece different from the next.

Then there is the core: a second stone to set against the first.

Two choices of material. A single Vox Lucis.

The data

The numbers.

The technical is not hidden.

It simply comes after you've understood why it exists.

The next step

It begins with the stone.

Choose the outside.

Choose the core.

See how they change together.

The design is already set. Your piece is not yet.
