What we collect, and when

If you do not write to us, nothing personal. Browsing the site leaves no data that identifies you with us: only anonymous visit statistics and the technical server logs described below.

If you fill in a form — the quotation request or the specifier accreditation — what you write reaches a small program on our own server, which forwards it by email to whoever has to answer you: name, practice, email, telephone and the description of your project. It passes through no external service. Before accepting it, the program asks you a simple question to tell you apart from a robot, and keeps for twenty seconds a temporary file holding a fingerprint of your IP address — not the address itself — so that nobody can use the form as a mail generator. That file deletes itself.

If you write on WhatsApp, we receive your number, the name you have set and the content of the conversation.

We do not ask for data that is not needed to answer you. There is no profiling, no scoring, no interest list built from your movements.

Why, and on what legal basis

We use what you send us for one thing: to answer you, and if it goes further, to prepare a quotation and follow the order. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures and then of the contract, under art. 6.1.b of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

If you write out of curiosity and nothing comes of it, the basis is our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us — art. 6.1.f.

We do not send newsletters to anyone who has not asked for one. If one day we do, it will be with separate consent, revocable at any moment.

Cookies: there are none

This site sets no cookies of any kind: not technical, not for profiling. The visit statistics we use are anonymous and cookieless: they count page views and where visitors come from, they do not identify you and do not follow you from one site to another. There are no social buttons that track you, and no third-party video or maps. Typefaces are served from here. That is why you find no consent window: there is no profiling to consent to.

The only thing the site stores in your browser is a preference of yours: if you dismiss the bar offering the site in another language, local storage records that you do not want to see it again. It is one line of text, it stays on your device, it never reaches us, and it disappears when you clear the site's data. The law asks for no consent here, because it does what you asked it to do.

If you open WhatsApp from the link in the footer, from that point on WhatsApp's rules apply, not ours.

The server logs

The site is hosted on servers belonging to Aruba S.p.A., in Italy. Like every web server, it keeps a technical access log: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. It serves security and the running of the service, not the recognition of people, and we cross-reference it with nothing. Aruba keeps it for the period set out in its own terms of service.

Who we share it with

With no one, for their own purposes. We do not sell addresses, we do not pass them to advertising networks, and we do not send them outside the European Union on our own initiative.

They are processed on our behalf only by the suppliers that make the service possible: Aruba, for hosting the site and the mail. If you write on WhatsApp, the conversation necessarily passes through WhatsApp Ireland Limited, under its own terms.

Our colleagues who deal with quotations and production can see them, and only for that.

For how long

Enquiries that do not become an order we keep for twenty-four months, then we delete them: after two years an unreturned quotation is of use to nobody.

If a supply does follow, the documents remain for the ten years Italian law requires for accounting records.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a machine-readable format, or to object to the processing. An email or a message is enough: we answer within thirty days.

If you believe we are getting it wrong, you may address the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, Rome — garanteprivacy.it.
